Meeting was called to order, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
Skate Park Public Hearing
Pat Schneider – Landscape Architect, City of San Antonio TX - spoke about the design of the skate park and what can be constructed within the budget.
Walter Heard – Terra Design Group- elaborated on the skate park. Took into consideration the features and overall construction. The grounds will be in concrete with anti-graffiti coating. Concerns brought up were: liability (skate at own risk); drainage will not affected; how many people can fit in the area while skating ; and when construction will be completed.
HNA Business Meeting
Treasurer’s Report given and approved – Wilma Johnson
Approval of March 18,2014 HNA meeting minutes – D. Dorsey
Mark Osar talked about of illegal panhandling in Heritage and how to possibly prevent it.
Jerry Cook talked about the objectives of the HNA.
Richard Zagrocki spoke about the following if Heritage did not have an association:
No representation
Not able to attend presidents meeting
No say in Zoning
No code enforcement representative
Problem with graffiti will continue
No National Night Out
No funds for repairs
No website, phone center
City/State would be notified of the deactivation of the HNA
Mark Osar presented options on the makeup of the board the membership might want consider. Specifically, having two co-presidents and eliminating the vice-president position.
The future of the HNA and HNA leadership depends solely on those who care enough.
