The Hamlet

Maggie Able attends City Neighborhood Meeting

Jun 04, 2000

Maggie Able attended the city?’s annual neighborhood meeting to which it invites reps from all home owners associations. Among the news:
None of the Hamlet streets are scheduled for the summer slurry seal project.
However, Maggie did express to the council and staff that the Hamlet was promised a newly paved Bellflower once Howarth Farms was finished. Since the new development is almost finished, Maggie asked that the street be put in the 2001 budget. Those hearings will begin in August. Please contact your city officials to support this request.
The city is working on the scooter and motorized vehicles problem. Expect to see some proposed legislation soon. That, of course, will not affect the Ponds behind the Hamlet, which is unincorporated Arapahoe County.
The Windemere thoroughfare is all consuming at this time as is the renewal of TCI (ATT).
City cleanup was on May 22.
You can report weed growth of18 inches or more at 303 795 3748.
Call your neighborhood resource at 303 797 3755 for dates for pick up of hazard waste (scheduled for late September).
The City Omnibus runs 7 days a week for disabled seniors. There is also a shopping cart available. Call 303 795 3700 for these free services.
Also call the city about tax rebates for seniors!
A Lifestyle Center is being planned by Hagg McC Developers at Sante Fe and Mineral. It will have four restaurant pads. Grading begins this fall.
Thanks, Maggie, for covering while the Plungys vacationed and Jack Kramer had a ?“could not miss?” business meeting.
