Off Leash Area for Dogs

One of the first responses I received on the for the neighborhood association stated that he was not interested in another playground for children because he only had two dogs. Little did the neighbor know that I do not have children and only have two dogs also. This neighbor said what he wants is an off leash area for dogs to run. I talked to Parks and Recreation and they said that but it is the City?’s policy not to put off leash areas in existing City Parks. The City is developing an off leash dog run area at Stapleton. Is that close enough? Is there another space that might work for an off leash area closer? What do you think?
