Do We Need a Neighborhood Plan?

Denver have a neighborhood plan which outlines a vision of what the neighborhood needs for the future. This plan is used by the City to budget in the six year plan for Capital Improvements to the City. Our neighborhood does not have a plan so we do not get very many improvements.
Southeast Denver is one of the few neighborhoods that does not have a neighborhood plan . As a result of not having a plan or vision for our neighborhood, Southeast Denver does not have a City funded amenities such as a recreation center, a branch library, a senior center, a community center, a health clinic, or a daycare center.
If residents are interested, we could write our own plan and create our own vision about the future of our neighborhood.
Imagine being able to walk to a neighborhood branch library or to be able to work out at an affordable City supported recreation center .
