Luke... I was thinking of seeding a few areas within the next week. But,
if you apply the pre-emergent (for crabgrass) in the near future, it
will prevent the seeds from germinating. Just looking for a timeline. -Jason
Jason... Unfortunately, the timeline is very long. The best option (if it's
affordable) is to seed the areas in question and then use stakes and
caution tape to mark off that area so we do not apply any preemergent to
the area. Generally, after applying seed, you need to wait at least 6
weeks to ensure effective germination and maturity of the new plant. And
I prefer to wait twice that length. Our current schedule for
pre-emergent at Hamptons puts us there within the next 6 weeks (we'll be
there prior to that to apply granular fertilizer - our pre/post emergent
weed control is liquid). -Luke
