Harpeth Trace Services Association

Meeting Minutes 02-15-05

Jan 28, 2006

The meeting was attended by Ken Darby, Sanford Payton, Steve Roche, and Linda Shoun

Topics of discussion were:

(1) An estimate to install 3 new light fixtures in the common area between the "Y" and Hickory Trace Place has been received from Anchor Electric. The total cost would be $4,290.00

(2) Anchor Electric has also submitted a bid of $22,850 to replace the existing 41 light fixtures along Harpeth Trace Drive. This price includes a new concrete base, pole, light head, and wiring within the fixture. These fixtures would be like the one near the top of the first hill, which was recently installed.

(3) A website for the Association has recently been developed. The address is www.neighborhoodlink.com/nashville/htsa. This site can be accessed by anyone with a computer connection to the Internet. It contains contact information for Board Members, an overview of Harpeth Trace Services Association, a calendar of events, meeting minutes, and may be used to post a neighborhood newsletter. Sanford Payton is acting as the webmaster and may be contacted to post information, or to have information removed.

(4) A Beautification committee will be formed. Sanford Payton is the Chairperson. If anyone would like to contribute help or advice should contact him. Bill Wainwright is the chairperson responsible for street lights, street signage, and the Spring Cleanup Project.

The committee will be responsible for making recommendation and gathering costs for revised or additional landscaping of the common areas. The use and expense of a professional landscape designer has been approved. Areas for possible improvement such as entrance landscaping, the undeveloped banks along the main drive, upgrading the existing walking path, and the possibility of adding additional walkways have been discussed

(5) A chipper service may be employed in conjunction with the Spring Cleanup. Bill Wainright will report on this project at the next meeting of the Board.

(6) Drainage at the second island ?– Ken Darby reported that he has been unable to contact with the contractor who recently completed our last drainage project to get an estimate for installing a proper drainage device.

(7) The next Board meeting is March 8, 7 AM, LePeep Restaurant

Ken W. Darby, President
