Representatives of Cedar Sinai Park (Robison Jewish Home) presented plans to complete a Master Plan for the facility by April 2004. Eric Cugnart of BOORA Architects, Inc. and Lea Duffy of Rice Fergus Miller Architecture and Planning reported that the current skilled nursing facility located off Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy will be replaced on the large vacant parcel on the south side of Boundary Street. The new building will have single occupancy rooms and the latest technology. They hope to incorporate outdoor living space and a trail through the woods. The current building will probably be demolished at some point and replaced by housing. The timeline calls for a Master Plan by mid-April 2004, a Capital Campaign to raise the necessary funds for 2–3 years, then design and construction the following 2–3 years. The architects listened to neighbors’ concerns regarding traffic on Boundary Street, noise levels and size of the new structures. All are welcome to voice their concerns and thoughts about the Master Plan to Lea Duffy, lduffy@rfmarch.com, or 360-377-8773.
