Boundary of Hazel Dell Hollow
The boundary of the Hazel Dell Hollow has been expanded to include the area south of 103rd St to 99th St. and east of Hazel Dell Ave to I-5. Welcome our new neighbors, and invite them to participate.
119th Flavor
Jerry asked for a general feeling of those present on their attitude toward the proposed road alignment: The outcome was overwhelmingly against.
Main Attraction: 119th Street Alignment:
The project manager, Ms. Maria Rivero and other project members, Kevin Grey (CIP Manager) and Ryan Lopossa (Client) made a presentation of the history of the project. The concept of the road is 20 plus years old. It does not show up on plans because no fixed alignment had been decided upon. That is the process we are going through now. An outline of their comments is attached. After the unveiling of the proposed alignment (near the southern border of the study area), and a chance to review it, written questions and comments were taken from the membership. Most of these were responded to in the meeting. They were also given to Ms. Rivero for further follow-up.
The proposed alignment will be presented to the public and the County Commissioners at a meeting in late May (+/- TBA). At that meeting the Commissioners will make a decision as to move ahead, stop, or go back for revisions. Please contact the commissioners directly with your comments and concerns. They can be reached at 397.2232.
