I would like to start this newsletter off by saying welcome to our neighborhood’s first monthly newsletter. It was with popular demand and quite frankly necessity that this column was born. In it I plan to keep everyone updated on the happenings in our community. I welcome any suggestions, info. Or anything that you think will help contribute to our development.
Emergency
On August 3rd our HOA President Malcom Gay, spent much of the afternoon going around to every home in the neighborhood to alert families of an upcoming meeting. The meeting held on Friday, August 7th started promptly at 6:30pm and went until 8:10pm. Shamefully only a handful of households were represented. Some hot topics of the evening were pool maintenance, & care, the new surveillance systems installed at the gate and pool areas, the upcoming election and communication.
Board Election 2009
Mark Schlesinger has sold his home and left an opening on the board. Those at the meeting in August were alerted the process for his replacement. Self-nominees were made to the management company. Those people are Jackie Trevino, Thomas Warner and Luis Aponte. In roughly 2 weeks time we will then have an election and will each have a chance to alert the HOA of our top three priorities for the community.

Special thanks, to the person who donated the trash and recycling bins for the pool. The green belt has been manicured all the way, to the cost of approximately $2500. Pet owners be courteous to your neighbors. Dogs that bark need to be brought in, please pick up after your pet and when out with them please keep them on a leash. Vandalism has been an ongoing issue. If you know of something or see someone doing something inappropriate please alert the proper person. Let us all keep in mind that we are all owners of the property and we need to take pride and care in our community. Together we can keep our neighborhood a great place to live.
