Pet owners should be aware that it is a violation of animal control law to allow pets to roam without a leash anywhere in the County.  Owners are held legally responsible for the aggressive action of a pet.  Walk your dog on a least al all times and only is dong walking areas.

PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG:

Responsible dog owners pick up after their pets.  Fairfax County has laws with penalties for pet owners who pollute public areas.  It's easy to carry a plastic bag when walking your pet to pick up and dispose of waste.  Dog feces in common areas lower the aesthetic value of Heritage County. it is against the Law.  It is a health hazard.
