Legal technicalities continue to delay resolution of the redundant fire protection issue with the Cunningham Fire District, which annually adds an extra, unnecessary tax assessment on High Pointe properties.
Cunningham?’s attorney rejected 20 of the petitions signed by all homeowners apparently because signatures were not in the correct location in the papers. The board agrees this is trivial and an obvious attempt by Cunningham to hold on as long as possible. To resolve the problem, board members will contact the 20 homeowners who need to again sign and have notarized the petitions that were rejected. The Board will provide notary services.
