New Online Crime Reporting System

The city has a new crime reporting tool, available at:

grcrimereporting.grcity.us

for crimes not in progress, those that don't involve violence and with no clear suspects. Grand Rapids is targeting offenses such as gas driveoffs, thefts, vandalism and harassing phone calls.

The reports are reviewed by authorities the same as a report that previously would have been taken by a patrol officer. They will be referred for further investigation if necessary.
