Annual Events

Spring Cleanup Day

Eastside volunteers organize a cleanup day each spring. We collect bushels of winter wind-blown refuse from the alleys, along the railroad tracks and in the park. It’s a great way to enjoy the warmer weather (we hope!) and prepare for a summer outdoors.

Summer Art in Collyer Park Serie

In 1999, Sarah Levison developed a program that enabled local artists to introduce our children to music, dance, poetry, and art. Everyone had a wonderful time. The performance of “A Children’s Rainforest Odyssey” by the David Taylor Dance Theatre of Denver was the crown jewel. An audience of more than 500 people watched in awe.

Sarah is gearing up to produce another ambitious children’s series this year, and she needs help with all phases of this huge undertaking. Give Sarah a call at 303-682-1251 and make this summer more stimulating for our children.

Neighborhood Picnic

The annual picnic in Collyer Park is one of the highlights of every summer. It’s part potluck and all about getting to know our neighbors and having fun. Often we have a band. Look for the announcement in the newsletter.
