Perhaps you've seen the attractive young couple now residing in the Swiss Chalet going for a stroll along the creek. Mike and Meridith have been here since July, 2000. They found Roser Park to be just the spot to settle down roots. They love the beauty of the area, its closeness to work, and they think that their neighbors are some of the nicest people in Florida.
Both Mike and Meridith work at the Dali Museum just a few blocks away. Meridith is in public relations and Mike in education. They moved here from Cleveland, Ohio.
The Dali is a great place to work and they share the enthusiasm for their careers at one of the best art museums in the country. Right now they have prepared a new exhibit with some of Dali's works that have not been seen here for five years. One of Mike's favorites involves several flaming giraffes waiting on dinner guests. Meridith saw her first dolphin in the harbor
beside the Dali Museum just last week. They have a kitten named Stella. They are amazed by the local lizards - something they didn't see up north.
The Dali will soon be expanding their display space. They are working to encourage repeat visitors. Soon you will see new signal for the museum and an addition will be built to better serve the public.
Mike and Meridith hope to find a house in Roser Park to buy when their lease is up. Mike said, "This area is so unique! " Meridith added, "What
with the royal palms, exotic foliage and ancient oaks arching over the cobblestone road, I always feel that I am driving into a movie set when I
return home from work."
We look forward to seeing more of this talented couple. They have even agreed to write an article on the Dali Museum for the next newsletter.
