Meeting Three

Our third and final meeting for 2005 was held on October 27,2005 at Homer United Pentecostal Church. Thanks again to Pastor Ronnie Frankens who graciously allowed us to use the church's facilities again. What a beautiful little church!

I don't know what happened, but our attendance was quite low. I will shoulder a lot of responsibility because October was a hectic month for me as well as our captains, and we weren't able to get the word out as we should have. I promise to do better next time!

Sgt. Joey Davidson of the Angelina County Sheriff's Department was our speaker for the evening. He had brought a nice PowerPoint presentation on methamphetamine production in Angelina County, but was unable to get it to work, so he had to just "wing it". He did a fine job describing how it is manufactured, it's effects on the body, on the family and on our communities. Sgt. Davidson also spent a great deal of time wading through our questions! Thanks so much Sgt. Joey! We plan on having him back for another presentation next year.
