January 2008 Homestead Homeowners Association Meeting

The minutes from the October 2007 meeting were reviewed and accepted. Dave P. has offered to post the minutes on our website:

Instead of a December 2008 meeting, several board members joined other homeowners and their children to go caroling around the neighborhood. A suggestion was made to get a group of homeowners together to sing and cheer up the folks at a local nursing home or hospice next December.

Karen Craig (19755 Flint) was given approval to change the exterior siding on her home, with the color changing from white to a light tan. Rosemary and Jim DeLisa were very concerned about speeding on Mariposa Dr. by homeowners in October. Randy Barnes
(Jefferson County Deputy) was notified and had the area patrolled. There is a hot line to call and report issues like this: 303.271.KOPS

The HHA 2008 Annual Meeting is set for Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 9:00 am to noon at the Intercanyon Fire Department on HWY 285, opposite the Mountain High Chapel. We hope to see you there. Two board positions need to be filled: that of
water/maintenance and secretary. Please volunteer if you have 1-2 hours to spare/month.
We can only be an effective homeowners' group if we get several more board members.

Tom L. said there was 100% compliance on the 2007 annual dues. Congratulations, folks! 2008 dues are now being collected, and a mailing was recently sent out to all homeowners.

Rosanna obtained a replacement CREEK TRAIL sign from Zuni Signs. Mike Henry offered to install the sign post, which had been knocked down during a heavy snowstorm.

Christy P. is going to check with homeowners who have expressed a recent interest in doing a progressive dinner, to see if someone would have the time to organize the event.

Rosanna got an email from John and Anita Carpenter (former HHA board members) who now reside in Nova Scotia.
