July 2008 Homestead Homeowners Association Meeting
present:
Rosanna Patrona-Aurand (303.697.0279)
Christy Pond, Dave Pond (303.325. 7329)
Merida Blackwell (303.697.8087)
The April 2008 minutes were approved as written. We still have openings on the board for secretary and maintenance/water, and welcome volunteers.
Merida B. is continuing to collect HHA dues for 2008, and will send out notices to homeowners who have not yet submitted their $25.
The entrance sign to the Homestead was knocked down June 27th, either accidentally or intentionally, and the JeffCo Sheriff was notified. We have the choice to either:
1. not replace the sign
2. put up an identical sign
3. do a more expensive, permanent sign (in stone, for example)
If you as a homeowner would like to give us your ideas, please present them at the next HHA meeting, scheduled for August 19th at 7:00 pm (20085 Flint Lane). We will come to a decision that evening, and move forward with replacement plans at that time.
The annual picnic is scheduled for Sunday, August 24th at 3 pm in Golden Meadows at the Lopez pavilion. Flyers will be sent out in early August. Everyone participating is asked to bring a dish to share: last names beginning with A-L (appetizers), M-Z (desserts). The main course will again be generously provided by BANK OF THE WEST, Aspen Park, for Golden Meadows and Homestead residents!
Remaining 2008 HHA phone directories will go out over the summer. Christy P. will hand deliver them, as postage costs are high.
Dave P. has offered to secure a new sandwich board to place at the Hwy 285 entrance prior to Homestead events. The old one is broken, and too bulky. The board has approved $250+ towards expenses.
Kelly Hebert at 8571 Mariposa submitted plans to extend the garage and add a room, which has been approved. The Ponds at 20085 Flint were approved to place a playground on their property. The Aurands at 20095 Flint are making plans to build a loafing shed and round pen for horses, and will resubmit their designs to the architectural board for approval.
Everyone is reminded to get rid of slash piled up in their backyards. It is a fire hazard, and we are in drought conditions. New slash removal dates are: July 26 and 27 at Conifer High School and August 30 and 31 at Inter-Canyon Fire Station #3 (8:30am to 4:00 pm).
