Homestead HOA (Jeffco)

October 2007 HHA Board Meeting Minutes

Feb 20, 2008

October 2007 Homestead Homeowners Association Meeting

Present:
Rosanna Patrona-Aurand (303.697.0279),
Christy Pond (303.325. 7329),
Dave Pond (303.325. 7329),
Tom Leonard (303.697.8706)

The minutes from the July 2007 HHA meeting were approved.

The CREEK TRAIL replacement street sign has been obtained. Perhaps someone living on Creek Trail would offer to put it back up?

We currently have board openings for the Maintenance/Water Committee as well as Secretary. No experience is needed, and we're hoping several generous homeowners will volunteer prior to the annual meeting in March 2008.

The recent combined Homestead and Golden Meadows annual picnic was very well attended. Food was generously provided by Bank of the West, and everyone appeared to be having fun.

A deck extension was approved for the Barbee home (8793 S. Ault) and a carport was approved for the Edwards home (19756 Flint Lane). From what we understand, any project 400 sq. feet or above needs a county permit. Please check with Jefferson County as you make plans for home additions, etc.

Bears have been sighted numerous times this summer/fall. Please put out your trash the morning of ?“trash day?”. Otherwise, you are encouraging bears and other critters to forage
through your garbage the night before, endangering their lives and creating an unsightly mess.

The annual $25 HHA dues have now been paid by all homeowners, except for two families.

Christy will be calling homeowners who have previously expressed an interest in participating in a progressive dinner in the Homestead. Since the holidays are just around the corner, this event might take place around mid-January or early February. In previous years, this was an adults-only event, with children of participants gathering in another home, with food and local babysitters on hand. Depending on the interest, groups of 6-8 people could gather at designated homes for the dinner portion, with everyone coming together for dessert. Please contact Christy Pond if you'd like to help organize this event, or to offer your home for any part of the progressive dinner. Everyone would be asked to prepare a dish to share. What a great way to meet more neighbors!
