Security
It?’s good to see that some residents are concerned enough to voice a concern about the safety of our neighborhood. I can assure you that your neighborhood is still safe. I have statistics for our neighborhood and some of the other surrounding areas that I can provide to show you or any of the residents just how well we have it in Hambledon. Still though, we all must be diligent in taking precautionary measures to help keep our area crime free. If we give criminals easy access to our property, such as open garage?’s, unlocked vehicles etc. they will take advantage. Actually we were on patrol when we found your neighbor's vehicle had been broken into. He most likely wouldn't have found it until the next morning. Investigation reveled that we must have just missed the suspects breaking into the vehicle. As I relayed at the annual meeting we can?’t be everywhere all the time. This is why I stress community involvement. Now I know that we can?’t all stay up all hours of the day and night and this is why we patrol at various times throughout the day and night. All I ask is that residents be aware of whats happening around the area. I would stress to you and all the other residents to attend your monthly meetings to keep informed on what is actually happening in the neighborhood. During this meeting the deputies give an account of what took place the month before and what security plans are for the future. We also answer any questions related to security. The meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at the building located at 14003 Walters rd. |
