It was a beautiful day for a picnic in our neighborhood Park, Saturday, May 5. The Dekalb Fire Department and Police made a special appearance (the kids especially loved the fire truck) as hot dogs grilled and lots of people gathered in and around the pavilion to eat and socialize.
Earlier in the morning a small but hard-working group of people gathered with mowers, weed whackers and trucks with chains to clean up the grounds and get water moving through the creek again. Special thanks to Jamie Hipple, Alane Levy, Doug Mimms, Matt Robbins, Harold Reed, and Ed Fleming for sweating it out the majority of the day. And thanks to all of the rest (you know who you are!) that gave a helping hand. We love loppers!
Thanks Crista for babysitting!=)
