POOL PARTY/COOKOUT AND BIKE PARADE
John Haste, President

I would like to thank the Social Committee for the planning and coordination of the community-wide pool party/cookout and Fourth of July bike parade. Also, to the many residents that helped in various capacities from set-up, to cooking to clean up. The events proved to be tremendously successful as more than 200 people attended each of the activities.

It is good to see camaraderie and community spirit being built here in Indigo Hill.

POOL SEASON

The pool was opened on May 26, 2001. The pool contractor has notified us that someone is throwing toilet paper into the pool, which causes the propeller not to turn. When the propeller does not turn, the heater does not turn on. This means that the pool water is cold! If this type of vandalism continues, the propeller could be permanently damaged, which could result in a large amount of money to repair or replace.

We have also noted that some homeowners and their guests are taking water balloons to the pool. Balloons can also damage the propeller. PLEASE, NO BALLOONS AT THE POOL!

Homeowners, please remind your family members and guests that the pool closes at 9 p.m. nightly. Signs with the pool hours are posted on the gate at the entrance of the pool. If anyone is seen in the pool after 9 p.m., the Pool Committee member on call will contact the Douglas County Sheriff. The pool closes at 9 p.m. for safety concerns. After dark, it is difficult to see if someone is in trouble and needs assistance. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance in making the Indigo Hill pool a safe and pleasant facility. Keep in mind also that loud noise, music, and offensive language can be a nuisance to other homeowners and guests. Loud voices, noise, offensive language, etc., can be a disturbance to

homeowners that live near the pool. Please be considerate of your fellow neighbors and keep the noise down to a minimum. Radios are not allowed at the pool.

This is your pool. If you see anyone committing any act of vandalism, please contact the police immediately.

INSTALLATION OF OUTDOOR LIGHTS

The outdoor lights on the clubhouse were replaced in June. We hope that these light fixtures will prevent individuals from removing the light bulbs and throwing them on the deck and in the pool.

POOL CLOSING
John Haste, President

A few days ago our pool had to be closed for the majority of one day. Here are the circumstances surrounding the closure:

I received a call late one evening stating that one of our residents had possibly contracted E. Coli from our pool. I immediately contacted Tyler Management with instructions to close the pool and make contact with the appropriate agencies to determine if this was the case. Marilyn at Tyler Management started the necessary processes, which included a call to the Health Department.

A representative from the Health Department visited our pool that afternoon and took an initial sample from the water in the pool. After this test, she recommended that the pool be re-opened, due to no evidence of E. Coli. She also took an additional culture that was sent to a lab for more extensive testing. These tests also came back negative. If you would like a copy of the test results, please contact Tyler Community Management.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but feel it was more important to error on the side of safety.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING RE-CAP

The Board of Directors Meeting was held on June 19, 2001, at the sales office on Winterthur Way.

The Board of Directors entered into a contract with Waste Management of Denver to provide trash service at the clubhouse for $30 per month during the pool season.

The Board of Directors has entered into an agreement with Tobey and Toro, PC, Attorneys at Law, for legal representation. The Subassociation's attorney with this firm is Rich Johnston.

The Board has renewed their landscape contract with Keesen Enterprises, Inc., for $7,184 for 2001. They have also entered into a tree maintenance program with Keesen for $720. This program includes spraying for spruce gall, general spraying, and deep-root fertilization.

CLUBHOUSE RENTAL

The Board of Directors has voted on increasing the cost for the clubhouse rental from $10 per event to $20 per event. The reason for the increase is to offset the cost of the clubhouse cleaning and the high gas and electricity costs during the pool season. If you are interested in renting the clubhouse for three or more regularly scheduled events, the cost will be $15 per event payable in advance.

If you would like to rent the clubhouse, please call Tyler Community Management at 303/232-9200.

BLOCK CAPTAINS

The Social Committee is still in need of volunteers to serve as block captains within the community. As a block captain, volunteers will be asked to assist in getting information to their neighbors, such as distributing flyers, mailings, etc. If you are interested in serving as a block captain or serving on the Social Committee, please contact Marilyn at Tyler Community Management or a Committee member.

ADVERTISEMENTS

Would you like to advertise your garage sale or business in the newsletter? The Newsletter Committee would like to provide you that opportunity at a minimal cost. The cost to advertise your garage sale is $5 to print your name, address, and dates of the sale. If you would like to advertise your garage sale, please contact Tyler Community Management with the dates and your address.

Because the newsletter is distributed quarterly, you must plan in advance. For example, if you are planning a garage sale in early May, please get the information to us by February 1. The newsletters are distributed February, May, August, and November.

If you would like to advertise your business, the cost is $15 for 15 or less words and $25 for 16-25 words. If you would like to place an ad, please send your written advertisement along with a check made payable to Indigo Hill Subassociation to Tyler Community Management.

LOST AND FOUND

LOST! Please help me find my two-year old's beach towel from grandma. We left it at the pool on Friday, July 13. The towel is light purple and has "Paige" and a Raggedy Ann embroidered on it. If you found our towel, please call Diane Tolleson at 303/683-1295. Thank you.

PET RESPONSIBILITY

Pet owners, please take responsibility for your pet(s). It is your responsibility to pick up after your pets. We encourage pet owners to carry plastic bags when you and your dog go for a walk. Thank you for your cooperation.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS

The Board of Directors meetings are scheduled for August 22 and October 24, 2001, at 4 p.m., at the sales office on Winterthur Way. Everyone is invited to attend. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for November 14, 2001.
