Q: What are the differences between NYC ?“NO PAKRING?” ?– ?“NO STANDING?” & ?“NO STOPPING?” signs?
A: According to the New York City Dept. of Transportation, ?“NO PARKING?” signs prohibit drivers from stopping their cars, attended or unattended, except to pick up or drop off passengers or load or unload vehicles. ?“NO STANDING?” signs prohibit drivers from stopping vehicles, attended or unattended, except to receive or discharge passengers.
?“NO STOPPING?” means that you cannot stop, stand or park a vehicle, attended or unattended, not even for a second to read a street sign or receive or discharge passengers.
