Jupiter Farms Residents Association

Shopping portal pays off for the Farms

Jupiter Farms has been offered an opportunity to have its own community center.
When Fire/Rescue Station 14 moves to its new building on Indiantown Road and Mack Dairy Road, its old building could become the community center for Jupiter Farms. It would be available to the community as a meeting place for various Farms organizations, very much as when all shared the PBSO Satellite Office in the old BR Ranch gift shop. JFR (Jupiter Farms Residents) would coordinate its use, maintenance and any improvements needed. The County would make some basic repairs, but no refitting, before turning the building over to the community.
One concern has been how to fund the maintenance costs. Shopping portals, which return a portion of the monies spent through the website, are being offered to not-for-profit organizations as a money making vehicle.
Jupiter Farms Residents, Inc. has established it own portal, and is asking the residents of Jupiter Farms to do as much of their online purchasing as they can through the JFR portal. JFR would get back 2 to 10% of all orders placed through its website: ShoptoEarn.net/JFR. There is no extra charge to you as a buyer; buyers pay the same price as would normally be charged online.
When a buyer selects one of the stores represented on ShoptoEarn.net/JFR, the JFR website actually links you to that store?’s own website. For instance, if you want to buy some printer ink from Staples, go to ShoptoEarn.net/JFR, select Staples from the vendor list, and shop as you would normally online. When you go to check out, you may enter your rewards card just as you always present it in the store or online, and the purchase is credited to you too, as well as providing income to Jupiter Farms.
Unfortunately, not all the stores in which one would like to shop are available, but there are a substantial number available (in the 100?’s), including Sears, Macy?’s, Target, etc. and even Linen ?‘n Things which is in the process of closing down ?– some real bargains there!
Try it ?– remember it benefits the Jupiter Farms community each time you buy something through it. If you have any problem with the portal site, Email JFResidents@AOL.com, and they?’ll help you with it.
