Great News for the Kingspark Pool?… is getting repaired and will open this summer! The HOA Board of Directors are working with Advanced Pools and Spa, LLC for needed pool repairs and installation of new safety drains. Information is as follows:
Drains - Remove existing main drain and replace with two (2) new drains; VGB Act 2008
Coping - Remove existing coping and prep area and install new 12?” brick coping
Plaster - Acid wash and install new white marble plaster
Steps - Install concrete steps in 4 foot-end of pool for easy excess
Tiles - Remove existing tiles and install new tiles with depth markers
Pool Level - Currently pool water level is uneven; even water level
The project started last month and should be completed in May. Included in the process of updating/repairing the pool is OKC/County Health Department Inspections. There will be several inspections before the pool will be opened for the season. There is no set opening date at this time. The HOA is targeting opening the first of June. The HOA will send out an email alert with an opening date.
Advanced Pools and Spa agreed to work with the HOA on a payment plan. This has enable the HOA to begin the project and make set payments over a set period of time. In addition, the HOA does not have to close the pool for the 2009 swimming season and does not have to request a special assessment to pay for the project. Advanced Pools and Spas is owned by Nathan Trexler, 474-4794.
There are still improvements needed in the pool area, such as: surface/deck drains, furniture repainted, and a new pool deck. These items will be addressed at a later date.
