DPW&T Community Partners information

1. Please remind residents that the Vacuum Leaf Collection is no longer provided by the county.  They should rake leaves and bag, mulch or compost.   The bags of leaves should be put out on your regularly scheduled Yard Waste pick up day.  Please keep leaves out of the storm drains and the roads
2. Countywide Community Cleanup Day, Saturday, October 16, 2010.  Your organization provides the volunteers and DPW&T supplies safety vests, litter grabbers, and trash bags.
3. After the clean up come to a Thank You Celebration at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park beginning at 12:30p for great food and fun.  Call 301-883-5600 to Register
4. DPW&T has implemented a Snow Partnership Pilot Program where they will be utilizing landscaping contractors current doing business with HOAs.  They will assist in addressing snow removal in communities in a more timely manner.  Eleven communities have already become partners.
