On Friday, July 30, 2004 the residents of the Kissena Park area lost a good friend.
Max Kahn was a strong advocate of volunteering time to our community and he encouraged others to do the same. He felt a strong bond and duty to his neighborhood, his friends and his park that he loved so much. He would often be seeing removing weeds and debris from around the lake in Kissena Park or playing tennis at the court. He was vibrant, friendly and full of life. Max was also an active member of the Kissena Park Civic Association for many years and once served as President.
Max’s Health began to fail after undergoing serious surgery for an aortic embolism on June 15th. He passed suddenly while he was in the process of post surgical rehabilitation.
