Residential Service Proposal for
KORT SPRINGS HOA
June 26, 2006
We are pleased to offer the residents of your neighborhood standardized automated residential trash service at the curb. Providing the city/HOA significant savings. This quote is based upon the following options:
• 2 year agreement with options for renewals
• Approx 182 homes to be serviced
• Service will be 1X time per week curbside with up to (2) FREE ID 95 gal. rolling trash carts. ( 1 cart = 3 normal cans)
• Individually billed to each resident quarterly in advance.
Industrial Disposal Co. will only provide fully “automated” service using our newest technology trucks which requires that each resident use up to (2) FREE 90 gallon ID trash cart (a $160.00 value ). The carts have wheels, hinged lid are heavy duty and have a lifetime warranty. The standard cart creates a very attractive look to the neighborhood and keeps service fast, neat and clean. One 90 gal cart = 3 regular cans. Addl. carts beyond 2nd are $1.50 ea.per cart per mo. (The carts remain property of ID.)
TRASH SERVICES:
1x week@ curb with ID carts – $ 10.35 per home
All prices Incl. up to 2 FREE rolling 95 gal. trash carts with lifetime warranty. (Ind. Billed HOAs - 85-90% of residents required within 12 mos. to maintain this special price. We will audit the participation level in one year) Residents who have pre-paid with another company will have 90-120 days to cancel and sign on with ID. Re. LARGE ITEMS – 1 large item per week; residents must call ID @ 638.9000 to schedule for pickup .

RECYCLING: optional- $ 3.25 per home per month
Billed for entire period in advance. Includes 18 gal. bin and lid. See guidelines attached for materials that are accepted.
YARD WASTE: - Jefferson Co. Only
Optional Service Rate: $ 4.25 per month. Billed for entire period in advance. Service 1x week April 1- Jan 15th ; Includes Christmas tree pickup. See guidelines attached for proper handling of material and what is considered acceptable.
JUNK PICKUP: -Residents please call ID @ 638.9000 for large item pickup. In addition to normal 1 large item per week pickup ID will provide two free (one Spring /one Fall) Community wide Junk pickups (non hazardous large bulky items ie. furniture, appliances etc. does not include construction material, fencing, decking) to accommodate community garage sales or cleanup. Any additional individual bulk needs may be at addl charge to the resident ie. entire home moving, basement cleanout. The above community cleanups will be scheduled by HOA with ID.

*Please note: all prices are subject to possibility of fuel adjustments as the volatility and upward trending of fuel occurs. The future costs of diesel fuel cannot be determined. Fuel fees amount to a few cents for each service (.07 -.10) per home per week or .28 cents per month, should such an action become necessary. We are using a basis of diesel fuel @ $ 2.85 per gal. for this quote. Fuel fees (if necessary) can adjust up or down as prices change.

TRASH – YARD WASTE – RECYCLING GUIDELINES
The following are general guidelines for each service. Any questions or
problems call ID CUSTOMER SERVICE @ 638.9000
HOLIDAYS: ID observes New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. All services will be the day following the observed holiday..ie. holiday on Friday service on Saturday.
ALL services are pushed back one day.
TRASH: (1) to (2) 90 gallon standard ID carts , no non-standard trash cans or 50 gallon drums. Place cart on curb 3’ from car or mailbox with wheels towards house. Cardboard boxes must be broken down flat. Bag all trash in cans. Place addl plastic bags next to or on top of cart. 50lbs max for each container. Should you need a 2nd cart please call 638.9000 for delivery.
The following items are NOT ACCEPTABLE: Dirt, concrete, drywall, studs, fencing, landscape timbers, construction materials, large doors, windows, sinks, cabinets. NO FLUIDS OF ANY KIND..paint, thinners, pesticides, oils. NO TIRES. BioMedical hazards – needles, oxygen tanks, chemo items . No propane tanks, gas cans/tanks, swing sets, patio doors.
BULKY JUNK ITEMS: We offer special pickup arrangements for large items such as washers, couches, mattresses. Please call ID to schedule pickup. .NOTE: refrigerators and air conditioners must have freon removed by a certified tech.and be tagged. Construction/demolition material is NOT included. We provide the CITY-HOA (1) Spring and (1) Fall community junk pickup day coordinated with city / HOA.
YARD WASTE -All twigs, branches, shrubs can be no more than 6 in. diameter and should be tied (do not set out loose items) in no longer than 3-4 ft. long bundles, all bags, bundles, containers should not weigh more than 30 pounds each. Cut grass will rot and moisture/rain adds weight so make sure bags for grass are adequate strength. No loose dirt or sod. No tree stumps. No fencing, landscape timbers or decking.
RECYCLING- no liquids, propane or gas tanks. Only #1 or 2 plastics, milk jugs, food and drink bottles; aluminum or tin cans; unbroken clear or brown glass, no light bulbs or glass panes or drink glasses; newsprint only-no slick finish paper ie. junk mail, magazines, no fiberboard. Phonebooks with covers torn off are ok. No food plastics (ie. TV dinners) with oils or grease.

JUNK PICKUP SERVICE
Normal junk pickup consists of hot water heaters, washers, dryers, dishwashers, couches, chairs, coffee/end tables, misc boxed toys, garage items, tools, grilles, bicycles, lawn mowers, refrigerators* etc. The following is a general guideline of what is NOT ACCEPTABLE for junk pickup of “normal” household solid waste.
• Demolition /construction material ..studs,drywall,sinks,tubs,toilets . A dumpster is required for construction, renovation , redecorating. Cabinets must be broken down to small pieces no longer than 4-5’
If items can fit into a 90 gal ID cart they are acceptable.
• Large amounts of fencing …a few planks may be ok if no longer than 4-5ft. in length…must be tied and bundled for pickup
• No concrete….blocks,bricks etc.
• No liquids of any kind…paint, thinners, pesticides household cleaners, motor oils, fuels. Wet paint can be “solidified” with kitty litter or granular absorbant material from automotive supply stores
• No medical bio-hazards…sharps, chemo diapers, oxygen tanks
• Lawn mowers must have gas tanks removed and broken down as much as possible
• Gas grilles are acceptable…with no propane tanks of any kind,..grilles must have tank removed and broken down as much as possible
• Swing sets and basket ball goals must be broken down as much as possible..no pieces more than 4-5ft long…no concrete on legs or base
• Mailboxes cannot be more than 4-5’ long and no concrete on base
• No large car parts..fenders, hoods, trunk lids etc.
• No tires of any kind
• * Freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners – must have freon / refrigerant captured and removed by certified HVAC technician and unit tagged for acceptable pickup. Freon is considered hazardous waste
• No landscaping material such as…logs, railroad ties, landscape timbers or concrete blocks. No dirt, sod.
• No yard waste material (in Jefferson County this must be collected separately with yard service) …no fire logs, stumps , shrubs etc.
