LAMP has partnered with the Festival of Faiths, Louisville Grows,New Roots, and the University of Louisville Center for Environmental Policy & Management to create a "Healthy Food Zone", a garden oasis of healthy herbs and vegetables, beautiful flowers, fruit-bearing vines, shrubs, and trees.
This collaboration will provide a common area for workshops and training on gardening, cooking classes, food literacy (health and nutrition), and a corner marketplace that draws the eyes to beautiful crayola colors and the sweet smells that filters the air, where people can purchase food that feeds their minds, bodies, and souls, with community eats, meets, and greets, and a mobile fresh stop that will reach the aging population who otherwise would not be served.
Recognizing the needs and lack of access that exist within the West Louisville area and especially in the Russell area, we want to be agents of and who affect positive change.
If you are interested in community and preserving life, please come and be of part of what will be a life changing experience, not only for the community at large but for you the sowers of an equitable sustainable community.
