BOARD NEWS
The newly elected Board of Directors has been busy researching pending projects and contracts, learning the duties of their elected positions and reading the rules and regulations of LEW Homeowner Association in preparation for their retreat on June 14.

TREES
The Tree Musketeers have been on property trimming all the palm trees, cutting out all the dead and extraneous branches of our shade trees and felling the dead and invasive trees. This will help tremendously with lessening the damage incurred from the high winds and lightening when it storms. If anyone has specific tree problems and feel Tree Musketeers is not addressing those individual tree issues, please direct your request to lakeellenhoa@yahoo.com instead of approaching the contractor individually. We ask this because we want to reduce the confusion that often follows when a large number of our residents all approach the contractor with individual request or work orders. To reduce confusion, we would rather funnel all residents request into our office first; reducing the number of individual tree trimming request that seem to bombard the contractor all at one time.

TERMITE SERVICE
There are still a few residents who have not had VIP Pest Control Service treat the inside of their units. Please call and make your appointment. They are wonderful at accommodating your schedule. The procedure takes less than a half hour and will leave your home untouched by termites. VIP is contracted to take care of any insects inside our home. They will be on property every Wednesday, so call them to make an appointment if any insects (ants, roaches, spiders etc) need to be removed from your place. VIP TERMITE PREVENTION: 243-8888.

WEB SITE
Thanks to Board member David Haney, we now have a web site: lakeellenwalk.com. It contains a wealth of information from who to call if you are having a problem to marvelous pictures of our community. For those of us who do not have a computer, don’t be shy. Ask your neighbor to see the web site. Nice way to learn about LEW and get to know your neighbor!!

PARKING & PETS
Surprise!!! Parking is under control. Remember, if you have someone visiting for more than a few days, you will need a visitors card that your guest can put in the back window so his car won’t be towed. Thank you dog owners who are tidying up after their pooch and shame on you, if you are not. Both know who they are!!!

OLD ISSUES
The fire hydrant, located on Orange Grove & Fletcher works properly; this issue is CLOSED. In addition, LEW will be inspecting all "RED" fire hydrants, located on the LEW common property, for serviceablity within the next two weeks.

DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS
Only a few of the assessments have not been paid and payment arrangements have been made for those. Those of us who have delinquent water bills will soon have an incentive to bring our accounts up to date: turning off the individual unit’s water supply. More to come about this solution!!!

WORKING ISSUES The new grill(s) will be in place for the Fourth of July. The pool lounges will be replaced and/or repaired very soon.

GARBAGE/TRASH/RECYCLE
Remember: Pick-up is every Wednesday and Saturday. No pick-up on holidays. Full containers are to be placed in front of your garage after 6pm Tuesday or Friday and placed back inside your garage by 8pm Wednesday or Saturday. There are to be NO containers outside of your garage any other time. COMMUNITY GARBAGE PICKUP: REPUBLIC: (813) 265-0292

COMMITTEES:
Committees and volunteers on each one is posted on our web site: Lakeellenwalk.com and are posted on the message board outside of the office. If you wish to be on any committee, either send an e-mail to lakeellenhoa@yahoo.com or put a note in the mail slot on the door of the office.

THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS:
Christy and Cindy Hedinger, Patrick Tilchin, Karen Bazo, Carol Goodman, Alene Johnson, Paul Andersen

NOTE: The best way to ease the workload for the efficient and timely operation of our community is for residents to help even if it is just for an hour a month.
