Summary of Executive Meeting - March 01, 2004

Opening and Committee Reports

Suzy Glover called the meeting to order at 6:30pm. Opening prayer was lead by Grace Morrow.

Kay Ferrell read minutes of the last meeting and Cindy Nocton gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Committee Reports were given by Cindy Nocton - Fundraising, Khris Kenyon - Activities, Suzy Glover for Jake deBusk - Patrolling, and Grace Morrow - Call a Friend.

Business Items

Newsletter Progress
* 1000 copies were put out on 14 February
* 10 ads have been sold

Easter Basket Fundraiser
Tickets were picked up by members. A list of items was circulated and members chose which item they would provide.

Spring Picnic
A planning meeting was set for the following Monday.

Keep Our Cops II
The date was set for 15 May. Rally time is scheduled for 10:30am. A date for sign painting was still open.

Guest Speaker and Closing

Chief Harold Thorne informed us that additional personnel for Zone 1 would be working from 6pm-2am. He also announced an upcoming and continuing C.O.P. training.
Incumbent City Council Member for Ward 2, James Hanna, addressed the group.

Upcoming Meetings
Suzy announced the dates of the next meetings. Lt. Charles Whitis, Special Operations for the LPD, was set for the March 15 meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:36pm by Suzy Glover.
