A real funny question was asked at the last meeting. Do you know if you over paid on your property taxes? The answers were, ?“NO?”, ?“Why would I over pay on my property taxes??” ?“I wouldn?’t give the county any more money. They already take enough.?”

Now you can check if your name is on the list of 14,000 plus people that overpaid their taxes. Go to www.co.allen.in.us, scroll all the way to the bottom where it says ?“SURPLUS PROPERTY TAX SEARCH?” click and search. If you find your name you can print off a claim form. You can also call the Allen County Treasurers Office at 449-7693.
