Here are the notes from the Liberty Golf Park meeting Monday evening thanks to Alex and a few others for attending!
The county held a meeting on tuesday evening to review the conceptual design for the development of the Freedom Golf Park The following is a summary of the documentation and notes from that meeting.
Meeting of planning and zoning commision 6:00pm October 27, 2008
Carroll County Project S-06-038
Project summary:
The current conceptual plan is for the 40 acre plot of land to be subdivided into 6 lots.
- One lot each for the following
- Gas Station
- Bank
- Restaurant
- One lot for the retail spaces
- One lot for office buildings
- One lot for two "flex" buildings
Lighting on the property will be as follows:
- pedestrian walkways (14ft. "street lighting")
- office and retail parking 30ft "full cutoff" (commission wants this reduced to 20ft)
- flex building are building mounted "not full cutoff"

Retail, Office and flex building space to be single story construction with roof extensions to shield equipment.
40+ foot tower for store signs, three monument style signs for front three buildings (commision wants this reduced to 30ft)
Builder is proposing the following to the SHA for expansion of liberty road from emerald lane to just past the light at Linton and White Rock Roads:
- Six lane expansion (two westbound, two eastbound, turn lane, deceleration lane)
- South side curb line of Liberty road to be maintained with the expanded road bed to be to the north (Gera/Old Liberty side)
- Stop light
- relocation of current Liberty to Old Liberty cut through to be more centrally located on property
