I recently received an email warning me about house stealing.
This couple let their property long-term and when the rent stopped
arriving they investigated and found strangers living in the house
who produced proof that they were the legal owners. It seems the
tenants had gone to the local council saying they were the owners
and that all their documents had been lost in a fire. Believe it
or not the council gave them duplicates and they sold the house
and disappeared.
This problem is evidently on the increase and the FBI are aware of
