The house on the corner of 164th Terrace never mows their yard or weeds their landscaping. I thought there were neighborhood restrictions on maintaining the upkeep of your lawn. Who enforces these restrictions?

I would love to hear the answer to this too.  Everytime my lawn guy comes to my house, I send him down to theirs to try to talk them into letting him keep their lawn up.

Another problem house is the Murdock Model Home.  I call them (but never get a return call) everytime their yard gets out of hand.  I leave messages asking them to come and mow...

You may be talking about my house.  We live between the Murdock home and the empty Meridian lot.

It has gotten a bit long at times.  Since the sprinklers went in, there's been huge bald spots in the new sod so my husband is trying to get the grass to spread out some (or something to that effect).  In any case, he's going to put in new sod and do a better job maintaining or hire a landscaper.  Sorry about that.

As for the empty lot next to us -- it's an overgrown eyesore with mud pits.  I was told by the builder that it's the HOA's responsibility (as a common area) and have contacted them to see what I need to be doing to keep it maintained.  I kept expecting it to be taken care of like the other common areas, but that's not the case.  It may be something that I haven't done.

I agree about the Murdock home.  I'm not sure why they'd let it get so bad when trying to sell.  Unfortunately, there's rarely anyone there.

I'm happy to report that the neighbors with the "tall grass" habit are now using the same lawn service as we use.  I've also seen this same family outside, working on their landscaping.  Yay!
