DDRO Works to Enforce Noise Ordinances

Tickets Issued by Team of Officers
Once again the Denver Downtown Residents' Organization
(DDRO) is gearing up for the annual summer struggle with the
small number of motorcyclists who insist on disregarding
noise ordinances.
On Friday night, June 4, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Captain
Lamb of the District Six Police led a team of about 20
officers in enforcing the noise ordinances that are
frequently violated by the "cruising" of motorcycles and
cars. Around 16 tickets were issued.
Word spread quickly and the level of motorcycle noise soon
lessened. Our Councilperson, Debbie Ortega, was
instrumental in setting this up, and we will see more of
these enforcement activities as the summer moves on.
