Caribbean by Committee
There will be drinks and dancing. Short speeches and spicy food. Awards, talking and (maybe) tropical shirts.

This year the Events Committee is planning the LDDI Annual Meeting?…and , as Events director Anjela Haight says, they're planning anything but just a meeting.

"We don't want people just standing around and listening to speeches," says Anjela. "We want everyone's involvement and a lot of activity?…we want a real event that reflects the energy and excitement of LDDI."

This focus led the committee to choose a Caribbean theme for the annual meeting. And while "we'd love it if everyone would dress Caribbean style," the theme will mostly be communicated through food, music and atmosphere.

To accommodate this atmosphere, Angela says the committee choose the Soiled Dove for "its open space, stage and LoDo location." The space will be needed for the anticipated 200attendees, while the stage will host the awards presentation as well as board member speeches.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 23. At 6pm, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served. A buffet dinner and awards ceremony will follow.
