LDDI Connects: Members Link to Website
While the "e-commerce" term may be new, the concept isn't. By now, almost all of us recognize how valuable advertising on the Internet can be - and many more predict how important it will continue to become. Analysts predict e-commerce will grow to $3 trillion dollars by 2002.
Many LoDo businesses are riding the technology wave. Websites are becoming easier to use than phone books. And, while some potential customers still use the phone, it's often to verify information after they've checked the
web.
Every week, LDDI's Webster receives about 100 "hits" while the office receives calls from people who have seen our site and are planning to visit the Denver area.
Just a couple of months ago, in fact, I answered one of these calls and a group from Chicago was planning to visit Denver. They heard about LoDo, visited our site, checked out its links and still wanted more.
As LDDI members, your business can give them more. . .at no charge. Simply ask (and fill out a form) and we'll link you to the LDDI website.
Then you'll be connected not only to LDDI, but to many of its advertising campaigns as well. We currently advertise in the Visitors' Magazine, a key marketing tool that reaches many convention planners and tourists. In all ads and press releases, LDDI includes its website address. . .which can lead to your business.
Many LDDI members have already been connected and LDDI volunteers are contacting other businesses. If you haven't linked your website yet, call Kathy Motz, our resident webmaster, at 303-628-5428.
