The newly formed Ways and Means Committee met last May to assess LDDI's scheduled events and fundraisers, project income and brainstorm ways to raise funds for LDDI. The following projections were made:
LoDo Games
Projected income: $25,000
Expenses: $11,900
Result: $13,050
Loft Tour
Projected Income: $44,500
Expenses: $15,035
Result: $29,465
Other projects include Lighting of Union Station and Taste of LoDo. Other sources of revenue include grants and investments / donations from developers, builders and subcontractors. For information, contact Susan Kiely at 303-294-0062.
Other committee action includes the Urban Design Committee which held is organizational meeting last month to develop and discuss an urban design agenda for the year 2000. Designs on that agenda include:
?· 16th Street Mall Extension (including the Light Rail extension to the CPV station);
?· Alley between Wazee and Wynkoop from 15th to 18th St. (this alley will become pedestrian friendly and demonstrate how lighting, signage, etc. will be used and financed);
?· LoDo Calendar (this will include photos of LoDo from local photographers as well as key dates of what did-and will-happen in LoDo. The calendar, out in November, will serve as a fundraiser to support urban design projects. Local photographers are welcome to submit work.
