Historical preservation does not just happen. Neither does enhancing
the health and balance of a mixed-use neighborhood. They take vision,
leadership, and hard work. With these tools in hand, LDDI led the way
in building an unprecedented Lower Downtown Neighborhood Plan.
The plan, recently approved by the Denver City Council, took nearly five
years to complete. This significant piece of work will impact Lower
Downtown, the largest and most unique historical area in the West, far
into the future.
?“This new plan is the blueprint for generations to come,?” states Dan du
Bois, LDDI Executive Director. ?“It affects everyone that lives, works,
owns property and does business within the Historic District.?” Its
far-reaching effects will influence new building and development,
mixed-use planning, transportation, parking, arts and entertainment, and
quality of life in Lower Downtown.
As the leader in coordinating one of the most comprehensive and
important documents in Lower Downtown?’s history, and for its future,
LDDI would like to thank everyone involved in the preparation and
approval of the Lower Downtown Neighborhood Plan.
