National Night Out Street Party

Please plan on stopping by the Madison Park National Night Out Street Party on Tuesday 8/1/06.
It will begin at 6:30 PM this year and go until 9:00 PM.
We have a new location this year. Chedworth Drive between Londonderry Road and Seacroft Road. The street will provide us with 3 street lights, which will be useful when breaking down the event at night. It is also shaded by large trees which will be nice.
What do we have planned.
Band, Large Blow Up for children to play on, Free Ice Cream, Free Lemonade, Free Snow Cones, and Free Watermelon.
We also will have a children's bicycle/wagon parade at 7:30 PM. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes or wagons and line up at 7:15 PM at the corner of Seacroft Road and Chedworth. They will then parade through the event and we will award a small prize for the best overall.
Bring a chair and come on out for a FUN Evening. Residents/Members of Madison Park are requested to invite at least 5 neighbors to attend.
Park along Londonderry Road, Seacroft Road or Chedworth. This location will provide plenty of up close parking to the party. Our Community is so large that someone will always have to drive regardless of where we have this type Party.
If the streets are full I suggest you park at the Smith Language Academy Bus Parking Lot on Tyvola Road. You can this just walk the short distance down Londonderry Road To the Party.
Whatever YOU DO DON'T SIT AT HOME PLEASE! Come out for National Night Out and meet your neighbors, police and City Leaders that stop in for the evening.
Mayor Pro Tem Susan Burgess has already said she will be stopping in to say hello. I am sure others will do the same. Last year the Mayor attended our street party.
