Parks and Recreation suggested we gather signatures in favor of a traffic light at Tyvola and Farmbrook. Please look for the petition sheets at the National Night Out Street Party.
In brief we have endorsed that the Park move its old entrance to match with Farmbrook. We have requested a Traffic Light that which both Parks and the Neighborhood would like. Neither have a chance without combining the traffic from both Farmbrook and the Park at the intersection and installing a traffic light. The goal is to have bike lanes the one block from Wedgewood to Farmbrook, and a safe crossing point to reach the Queens Sports Complex, Marion Diehl Senior Center, Pool, and the Future Greenway.
Many residents have requested that we try and get another light for the South Side of Tyvola.
