3rd annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony

The Park and Recreation Department invites the community to the 3rd annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony 4:00-6:00 pm, December 8, 2007 in Freedom Park. Two large evergreen trees beside the Alan Newcomb Parkshell (often called the ?“band shell?”) will be decorated and lighted beside the Freedom Park Lake.

Musical entertainment will be provided by singing groups from around the Carolinas. Cookies and refreshments will be served. Old St. Nick will make a personal appearance and pose for pictures with children. Families may bring their own cameras. This event is totally free. For more information contact Jackie Hemingway at 704-353-1246

We are also having our own event, Love Lights, at Freedom Park from 6-9 immediately following the tree lighting - details to follow later this week. It would be nice to have refreshments for our event too.

Can you help contacting potential contributors or do you know anyone that can help? We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and can proved tax deducible donation receipts to anyone that does donate to these events.
