You can schedule household items not considered garbage, recycling or yard waste for collection by calling the City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services customer service at 704-336-2673, visiting the City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services Web site at http://curbit.charmeck.org, or faxing the City/County on Call Fax system at 704-336-8600. Bulky items are collected on the same day as garbage, recycling and yard waste, provided they are scheduled in advance for collection.
When you schedule please provide name, address, and tell if the items contain metal. Two different trucks collect bulky items. You NO Longer have to list all items for a collection!
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE BULKY ITEMS ON THE CURB until the day prior to pickup. You will get a specific date for your pickup! Failure to follow these procedures can result in a citation!
