A request was made to CDOT to install speed humps on Longwood Drive. This would require 1000 vehicles in 24 hour period in order to make this change. We will have the drive counted, but I doubt the numbers will be high enough for humps. The road according to CDOT is not suitable for all way stops which requires only 600 vehicles and a documented speed problem. The petition would also need to be done as well to collect signatures of those in favor.

We have authorized the speed limit to be changed from 35 MPH to 25 MPH and request additional signs be installed. If speeding continues to be a problem PLEASE ALERT the Traffic Hotline at the Westover Division so they can take further action.
