The contractors are still working on the scoreboard and the parking lot lights. They should be complete in a couple of weeks.
Last month, Queens hired the architect, Jenkins-Peer Architects, to design the Pressbox and the Field House. They will also be designing the base for the Lion Sculpture and a sign for the front entrance. We also hired the civil engineer, Birkie Ayer, to design the parking lot and service road as well as all of the water & sewer infrastructure. We also hired the electrical engineer, United Engineering, to design the power, telephone, data and cable TV services. It is our intent to start construction on the Pressbox, the Lion Sculpture base, the entrance sign. the parking lot, the service road and the underground utilities this Spring?—probably April. We are holding off construction of the Field House until we complete our fundraising.
The Athletic Department began their Lacrosse season last Saturday, so the competition field is in full use again.
