The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is seeking both walkers and volunteers for events scheduled in 2008. MS Walks will take place in 19 communities across North and South Carolina this coming spring, including several in the Charlotte Metro area.
Mark your calendar with the following dates:
Charlotte & Gaston County ~ March 29th
Cabarrus & Union Counties & Shelby ~ April 5th
Salisbury & Tri-County (York, Lancaster & Chester) ~ April 12th
The Charlotte Walk takes place at Symphony Park near SouthPark Mall, starting at 9am. Walkers can opt for either a 2.5 or 5-mile route.
Volunteers are needed to help with festivities, food, route marking and medic stations.
All monies raised go towards programs for local clients living with MS, as well as national MS research.
