AGREE AGREE AGREE... we certainly do NOT need such huge sidewalks along murrayhill... part of the charm of this neighborhood is that it is an older neighborhood without all the 'unsightly concrete' that you see in newer developments... i'm totally against the installation of these sidewalks... someone let me know where to sign the petition 'against' this project...

I learned today that the public meeting for residents along Murrayhill and up to 1/4 of mile away will be held in about 60 days.  We will post the information on the web site so those of you in the zone can voice any concerns and preferences at this meeting.

The side of the walkway will not be chosen until after the public meeting.  As of today there is still no commitment to the side.

I was curious as to the comments about the width of the current sidewalk at the Woodlawn end of Murrayhill.  I stopped today with a resident that is opposed to the walks on her section of Murrayhill.  With a tape measure we discovered that it is 5 feet wide exactly.  It might appear a little more narrow due to grass coming over the edges slightly.

This was the only sidewalk we saw so I assume it was the area mentioned by another poster being near Woodlawn.  Had it been more narrow I agree it would of been something that CDOT would need to explain.   I am not sure about the sidewalk North of Woodlawn.  It is older and perhaps is more narrow.

We also noticed that all of Murrayhill to Scaleybark has a sidewalk North of Woodlawn today.

The city is looking at this planned walkway not only as a need for the school, but as a benefit for the community that chooses to walk.
