 I have had two recent conversations with Zoning / Planning regarding the plan.  The city planning department recommends that our area Madison Park remain individual residential homes.  There is no changes recommended for Woodlawn Road or the property behind the Auto Bell on South Blvd.  I have recently been contacted by memmbers with concerns that the property was going to be rezoned.

 

The Planning Department held a public meeting to present the plan for the Woodlawn Transit Station Area on March 13th, with a follow up on April 3rd at 6:00PM at the Grace United Methodist Church located at 737 East Woodlawn Rd, Fellowship Hall. 

The station area plan focuses primarily on land use and transportation and will update the adopted plan for this area, the Central District Plan (1993), South District Plan (1993) and Southwest District Plan (1991).  

As a property owner, please be aware that the area plan could recommend a change in the future use of property within the study area.  It is therefore important that you participate in the planning process.  You can learn more about station area plans on our website.
