The largest HIV/AIDS awareness event in the Carolinas is back for its 12th year and 2008 promises to be bigger than ever!
More than 1,700 are expected to lace up their shoes for AIDS WALK Charlotte. Participants will walk the two-mile route through historic Fourth Ward to show their support for those living with HIV, to remember those lost and to fight the spread of the disease. The public is invited to join by signing up at www.aidswalkcharlotte.org.
This year's goal is to raise more than $250,000 to support RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network). RAIN engages the community to transform lives and promote respect and dignity for all people touched by the AIDS crisis through compassionate care, education and leadership development.
