On July 24, 2008, the Westover Division and the Steele Creek Division apprehended four suspects involved in a residential burglary on Nation Ford Road. Shortly after 12pm, a concerned citizen notified 911 about a five male subjects taking items from a home on Nations Ford Road and loading them into a gray van. When officers arrived on Nations Ford Road, the gray van was gone.
However, a second concerned citizen observed the five subjects unloading the gray van on Sleepy Hollow Road and thought their activity suspicious. The second concerned citizen also notified 911. When officers arrived on Sleepy Hollow Road, all five suspects fled into a densely vegetated area between Queen Ann Road and Green Needles Drive. Westover and Steele Creek Division officers apprehended four of the five suspects.
At the time of this Gov-Delivery message Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Burglary Detectives were interviewing all four suspects.
